Make This Summer Count (Summer Activities — Part 2)
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” — Mahatma Gandhi

Explore and master
The first step toward a brighter future is always learning. Research any topic that interests you — painting, coding, economics, and master it. My advice is to start for free. The best resources I’ve found often come from Reddit suggestions, pointing to excellent courses, articles, or YouTube video series.
Dedicate no more than 30 minutes to preparing your learning plan and gathering resources. Then, commit to one method or path for at least 3 to 4 weeks. This consistency will help you avoid the common trap of jumping from one new thing to another without truly finishing anything.
Speak it
Ok, wait a minute. Before you think that this is way too difficult or even impossible, hear me out. You don't need school, nor do you need to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on private tuition. All you need, you already have: the internet.
Research and prepare a learning plan. Then, simply commit. Learn for the fun of it and to really use it next time you are going on a vacation or talking with a friend from another country.
Make some money
Let's define "business" simply: "a person's regular occupation, profession, or trade." This means you don't need startup money, you don’t need other people, and you don’t even need prior expertise. You just need to identify something you can sell and earn from.
Consider handmade goods, a skill (like writing or copywriting), knowledge in a specific field (for private lessons or to post about), or even just your time (for research or assistance). Start today by thinking about what you can offer. I recommend starting with minimal or no initial payments. You could even sell unused items from your room to sponsor the process.
Learn, and then practice.
Prepare for your future
Research jobs, universities you aspire to. Doesn’t matter if that means studying in Harvard or working a part-time job during the summer. Learn everything you might need: the application process, required skills, and necessary experience. By preparing early, you have better chances of success.
Declaimer: Be sure you genuinely want these things. Don't say "I want to study at Oxford" or "I want to work at Google" just because it sounds impressive. Consider the actual atmosphere — you might prefer smaller companies or universities where you won't feel pressured to spend 12 hours a day studying.
Sculpt your body
It's never too late to start caring for your body and health. Begin simply: try more walking, or follow online bodyweight workouts on YouTube. As you progress, add dumbbells or even consider a gym membership if you have the money.
Quiet your mind
I've been meditating for two years now. And I must say that those simple 10-20 minutes a day have completely changed my perspective on the world. I highly recommend Medito as a free platform offering practical meditations and beginner courses.
It costs you nothing, but in return, you'll experience increased calmness, reduced stress and anxiety, improved focus and attention, enhanced sleep quality, and better emotional regulation.
